Welcome to Riverside Holidays

We had a lovely week at Potters Rest. We know the area so knew it would be very peaceful, it was really lovely, calm and we enjoyed watching beautiful skies and feeding the swans! The accommodation had everything we needed, and was a real home from home.

Excellent location for fishing and wildlife as a lot of the bigger boats cannot go under potter Heigham bridge well equipped chalet with very large frontage.

A lovely place to stay for the week with a great view of the river, field and church and hearing nature. Plenty of storage room in the bedrooms and bathroom, a big shower, lovely for hubby to fish in the garden and a five minute walk to the local shop.

We have had the most wonderful time at Upriver, Norfolk Broads. The chalet was beautiful, cosy and one of the best we have ever stayed in.
We loved feeding the ducks and swans each morning and evening, driving on the boat and fishing. The en-suite was a lovely touch and the beds were so comfortable, we had great night sleeps each evening. We definitely want to stay again in 2028.

As Delboy would say, Lovely Jubbly.
2nd time here love the new layout. Josie loved the garden & tug boat, out on it every day, visited loads of places. Falgate Inn on Bridge Road do a great Sunday Roast. Very peaceful at night. Saw Chinese Water Deer in the garden & my wife loved feeding the ducks & swans every day. They will miss her. Will definitely recommend to friends.

This was the best equipped cottage that I’ve stayed in. Even has the added bonus of WiFi. The option of using a river taxi (additional cost) from the car park to the cottage made things so much easier especially if you’re an angler.

This was our 4th visit to this cottage which proves that we like everything about it. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay & good fishing just across the front lawn. Our 2 disabled dogs loved it. All the amenities are close by inc’ a great fishing tackle shop plus the brilliant Lathams store (if they don’t have it it, you don’t need it).

We have stayed at this riverside property many times. It is perfect if you have a dog as there is a fenced off section of the lawn so your dog cannot jump in the river. We hire a boat for the week from Maycraft boats which we use to transport our luggage from Bridge car park and arrive and depart by boat. Fishing is very good from the lawn frontage. We have a few day trips out on the boat during the week. We had fantastic weather for September so visited local beaches of Walcott and Winterton on sea where dogs are allowed on the beach. We have only just returned home and are feeling very relaxed after our holiday.

Riverside accommodation is perfect for fishing and wildlife, we had a wonderful time and would visit again.

08/08/2026

A well positioned & well equipped cottage. Great to have a big freezer space as well as a fridge. Plenty of outside space, mooring space for boat & fishing.
I think for 6 adults it may be a bit squashed but 4 is fine. The allotted car park space is in a great position too for trolleying your stuff up to the cottage.

What a lovely little riverside lodge Patikipa is. My wife & I have fallen in love with this delightful little place. The setting is idyllic & includes everything we could possibly require. Fishing from the lawn was very good & my wife thoroughly beat me in a friendly match! The property was very clean & tidy & smelled lovely, the cleaning team had done a very good job. The bait fridge, tackle shed, washing machine & dishwasher were very welcome indeed. Only a short walk from the car park & the famous Latham’s store! The weather was very hot & sunny all week. Couldn’t fault Patikipa. A wonderful holiday for us both. We shall return again.

The chalet had all the amenities we needed. All the equipment was user friendly. The bed was very comfortable. The chalet is in a very quiet, peaceful location being a pleasant 15 minute walk into the heart of town which really suited us. A great place to stay at a very reasonable price. Cromer itself has something for everyone.
